Tools Hub
Tools is a sidebar section that brings inspector utilities together outside the main inspection workflow. Use it when you need fee estimates, AI writing preferences, or a shared glossary — without cluttering inspections, templates, or account screens.
Available tools
Tools includes three tabs:
- Quote Calculator: Estimate inspection fees from property size, age, travel, workload, and saved inspection-type rate profiles. Estimates stay on screen; they do not create appointments or invoices.
- Custom Prompts: Save personal tone and style preferences for future observation summaries (title length, recommendation style, and similar). Preferences do not invent inspection facts.
- Glossary: Store industry terms and abbreviations so summarization understands the shorthand you use in notes and dictation.
Open and switch tools
- Open Tools from the sidebar.
- Select Quote Calculator, Custom Prompts, or Glossary from the tabs.
- Work in the selected utility. Switching tabs keeps you in the Tools section.
- Deep links into a specific tool open Tools with that tab already selected.
Tips
- Start with Quote Calculator when pricing a job before you book or invoice.
- Set Custom Prompts and Glossary once, then keep inspecting — they apply to future summaries, not past observations.
- Organization owners and admins may see an inspector selector inside Quote Calculator when managing another member’s rate profiles.
