Quote Calculator
Use Quote Calculator to create a standalone fee estimate from property, travel, workload, and saved inspection-type rate profiles. Estimates do not create or attach appointments, inspections, invoices, or saved quote records.
Open Quote Calculator
Open Tools from the sidebar, then select Quote Calculator. If you are an organization owner or admin, you may see an Inspector selector for choosing whose rate profiles to use. Members use their own profiles.
Select and manage a rate profile
Under Quote setup, select an Inspection type profile. Use Open inspection type settings to create, rename, delete, or edit profiles and their rate factors. Save changes before leaving profile settings.
Enter property details
Set the inputs that apply to the job:
- Units: Choose Imperial or Metric. Switching units converts the property size and distance so the physical values and estimate stay consistent.
- Property size: Enter the property area.
- Property age: Enter its age in years.
- Distance: Enter the travel distance.
- Workload: Choose the expected workload.
Review the estimate
The itemized estimate updates live as inputs change and displays amounts to two decimal places. Select How it works to review the calculation methodology. The result remains on screen only and is not saved or linked to another record.
Rate profiles belong to the selected inspector. When an owner or admin selects a different inspector, the calculator loads that inspector’s profiles—or a default profile when none exist—instead of keeping the previous inspector’s rates.
Troubleshooting
- No meaningful estimate or no profiles: Open inspection type settings and create a profile with rate factors. If you selected another inspector, confirm you are editing that inspector’s profiles.
- Unsaved profile changes: Save or discard edits before leaving the settings panel.
- Quote Calculator is missing: The tool may not be available to your account on that platform.
