Managing Your Profile

Your profile contains your personal, business, address, professional, and social media information. This information is automatically used to populate the cover page of reports you generate, so keeping it current ensures professional-looking reports.

Accessing Your Profile

  1. Open Navigation: Tap the Custom Header button (located at the top right of most screens)
  2. Select Profile: From the navigation options, select "Profile" or "Edit Profile"
  3. Profile Screen: You'll be taken to the comprehensive profile editing interface

Profile Information Sections

Profile Photo

  • Display Area: Large circular photo area at the top of the screen
  • Edit Options: Tap the photo area to change your profile picture:
    • Choose from Gallery: Select an existing photo from your device
    • Take Photo: Use your device's camera to capture a new photo
    • Remove Photo: Delete your current profile photo (if one exists)
  • Automatic Upload: Photos are automatically uploaded and processed when selected

Personal Information

  • Email Address: Displays your account email (read-only, cannot be edited)
  • Full Name: Your complete name used on reports and documents
  • Phone Information:
    • Phone Country Code: Dropdown selector for your country code
    • Phone Number: Your contact phone number (digits only, 7-15 digits)

Business Information

  • Company Name: Your business or organization name
  • Job Title: Your professional title (e.g., "Residential Building Inspector")
  • Certificates: Professional certifications and qualifications

Address Information

  • Country: Select from comprehensive country dropdown
  • Address Line 1: Primary street address
  • Address Line 2: Optional additional address information
  • City: City name
  • State/Province: Dropdown options based on selected country
    • Label changes based on country (e.g., "State" for US, "Province" for Canada)
  • Postal/ZIP Code: Postal code for your area
    • Label changes based on country selection

Social Media & Web Presence

  • Instagram: Your Instagram handle or profile URL
  • Facebook: Your Facebook profile URL
  • Website: Your professional website URL

Security Settings

  • Change Password Button: Navigate to password change interface
  • Biometric Toggle: Enable/disable biometric authentication (if supported by device)

Editing Your Information

Auto-Save Functionality

  • Real-time Updates: Changes are automatically saved when you move to the next field
  • On-Blur Saving: Information is saved when you tap away from a field
  • No Manual Save: No need to tap a "Save" button - everything saves automatically

Form Validation

  • Required Fields: Certain fields may be required for complete profile setup
  • Format Validation: Phone numbers, email formats, and other data are validated
  • Error Messages: Clear feedback for any validation issues

Dynamic Field Behavior

  • Country Dependencies: State/Province and postal code labels change based on country selection
  • Phone Formatting: Phone numbers are automatically formatted based on country code
  • Address Validation: Address fields adapt to the selected country's format

Profile Photo Management

Adding/Changing Photos

  1. Tap Photo Area: Click on the circular photo area at the top
  2. Select Source: Choose from available options:
    • Camera: Take a new photo immediately
    • Photo Library: Choose from existing photos
    • Remove: Delete current photo (if one exists)
  3. Photo Processing: The app automatically processes and uploads your selection
  4. Confirmation: Your new photo appears immediately after processing

Photo Requirements

  • Format: Supports standard image formats (JPEG, PNG)
  • Size: Automatic resizing and optimization
  • Circular Display: Photos are automatically cropped to circular format

Biometric Authentication

Setup and Management

  • Toggle Switch: Enable or disable biometric login from the profile screen
  • Device Support: Feature only available on devices with biometric capabilities
  • Automatic Detection: App detects your device's biometric capabilities automatically

Requirements

  • Device with fingerprint scanner or face recognition
  • Biometric authentication enrolled on your device
  • Previous successful login with email/password

Automatic Population

Your profile information is automatically used in reports for:

  • Cover Page Details: Name, company, contact information
  • Inspector Information: Professional details and certifications
  • Contact Information: Phone, email, and website details
  • Business Branding: Company name and professional credentials

Professional Presentation

  • Consistency: Ensures all reports have consistent professional information
  • Completeness: Complete profiles result in more professional-looking reports
  • Accuracy: Up-to-date information reflects current business details

📷 Professional Photo: Use a clear, professional headshot for your profile photo to enhance report credibility.

📝 Complete Information: Fill out all relevant fields to ensure comprehensive report headers.

Troubleshooting

⚠️ Save Issues: If changes don't seem to save, check your internet connection and try again.
