SwiftReporter allows you to use your device's biometric features (like fingerprint scanning or face recognition) for a faster and more secure login experience.
Prerequisites:
- Your device must support biometric authentication (Fingerprint sensor, Face ID, etc.).
- You must have biometrics set up and enabled in your device's system settings.
- You must have successfully logged into the SwiftReporter app at least once using your email and password.
Enabling Biometric Login:
1. Log In: Log in to the SwiftReporter app using your email and password.
2. Navigate to Settings/Profile: Go to the main app settings or your profile screen.
3. Find Biometric Option: Look for a toggle switch or option labeled similar to "Enable Biometric Login", "Use Face ID", or "Use Fingerprint".
4. Enable the Toggle: Tap the switch to turn it on.
5. Authenticate (if prompted): Your device might ask you to authenticate using your fingerprint or face scan to confirm the setup.
How it Works:
When you enable biometric login, the app securely stores your login credentials (encrypted) on your device, linked to your biometric data. The next time you open the app, instead of typing your password, you can tap the "Login with Biometrics" button (on the login screen) and use your fingerprint or face scan to log in.
Disabling Biometric Login:
- Go back to the Settings/Profile screen where you enabled it.
- Find the "Enable Biometric Login" (or similar) toggle switch.
- Tap the switch to turn it off.
Important Notes:
- If you change your account password, you may need to re-enable biometric login by logging in once with your new password.
- Disabling biometrics in your device's system settings will also prevent biometric login in the app.
