Generating a Report

Once you have added all necessary observations to an inspection, you can generate the report.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Inspection Screen:

- Open the specific inspection for which you want to generate a report.

- You can usually do this from the main inspection list on the Home Screen.  

2. Tap Generate Report:

Find and tap the "Generate Report" or "View Report" button. This button is typically located:  

- In the inspection details view
- On the Inspection Screen itself  
- In a toolbar at the bottom of the screen


What Happens Next:

Processing

The app initiates the report generation process, which involves:

-
Collecting all observations (including audio transcriptions, photo details, and saved comments) associated with the inspection.

- Running AI processes (if not already completed) to:  
○ Analyse audio transcriptions
○ Categorise findings
○ Generate observation titles and descriptions
○ Potentially match observations to relevant saved comments

- Organising the processed observations according to the structure defined in the selected template:               ○ Categories
○ Subcategories
○ Item order

- Compiling all information into a structured report format. This might involve:
○ Generating a document (e.g., PDF)
○ Preparing the report for display within the app

Report Display:

Once processing is complete, you will be automatically taken to the Report Screen to view the generated draft (See: Viewing the Report).

- The report may also be accessible later from the Inspection Screen.    If a report has already been generated for this inspection, tapping the "Generate Report" or "View Report" button might:  

- Take you directly to view the existing report.  

- Prompt you to choose whether to generate a new report or view the existing one.
